Is Societal Pressure on Self Image affecting teens? Are teens excepting to look like what the media shows them as. If you look the media only show teens who are very skinny and attractive because they want their product to sell. This gives the teens different thoughts of how they should dress, what a "model" body is.

For girls its harder due to the fact if they don't look like the models in the media, guys wont like them. Cause most guys look for the model material girl that he sees in the media. They think as the model as the perfect girl and that's all they look for.
I agree with your blog because the media makes girls think they have to be skinny to be attractive. The media is also causing girls to develop eating disorders. http://depts.washington.edu/thmedia/view.cgi?section=bodyimage&page=fastfacts

ReplyDeleteI agree with this, and i have noticed that i do look for unrealistic qualities in girls that i most likely will not find.
